The Allendale Volunteer Fire Department (AVFD) is always looking to increase membership. It doesn’t matter if you are experienced or brand new to the job; there is room for you here at this department. If you ever thought about becoming a firefighter and want to help out in the community, now is your chance to make it happen. Here at AVFD you will be exposed to many different emergency and even nonemergency situation including structure fires, motor vehicle crashes, technical rescue situations, and the mutual aid alarms. This is great way to support the local community and even prepare for a paid career in the fire service.
