Firefighters must be 18 years of age or older and complete the Entry Level Firefighter (Interior) and Basic Vehicle Rescue (BVR) training program and related training.

Junior firefighters between the ages of 14-17 must have a valid work permit from your school district, and complete the Entry Level Firefighter (Exterior) training program (and the Interior module and BVR once you're 18) and related training. Junior members must follow the restrictions set by the PA Department of Labor and Industry

Emergency Medical Quick Response personnel must be currently certified as an Emergency Medical Responder, EMT, Advanced EMT, Paramedic, or Health Professional by the PA Department of Health or NREMT.
