The volunteers of Woodbridge Fire Department have been serving the residents of the Woodbridge and Sewaren sections of Woodbridge Township since 1897. We are looking for dedicated, motivated individuals that want to serve their community in a vitally important way. We provide all the training and equipment you need and only ask for your time and effort in return. Our members are from all walks of life, and you will make lifelong friends. You will gain experience and skills that will help you both personally and professionally. We do not have duty times or schedules, you respond when you are available. We expect you to respond to 20% of calls per month (about 3 per week . We provide several benefits including insurance, a Length of Service Award Program (similar to a 401k), college tuition assistance, a college scholarship program for eligible children and other benefits through membership in the NJ State Firefighters Association. When we aren't serving the public, there are fundraisers, drills, a monthly business meeting, and community/social events throughout the year.
