Smith Mountain Lake Marine Volunteer Fire Rescue is looking for firefighters, boat operators and support personnel to respond to calls, support public service events and help with recruitment and fundraising. We are a 501.c.3 organization funded by community donations. We have no paid positions. Our fleet of fireboats and firefighting equipment are ISO rated and are maintained ready to respond to fires, boating accidents, watercraft rescues, injury accidents and many other lake-related activities. Experience is preferred, but not required. We will train you in boat operations and other aspects of Department operations.
