Description
The Pomfret Volunteer Fire Department is an all-volunteer, full-service fire department providing world-class fire protection and emergency medical response services. These services are provided through a highly-trained, dedicated and adaptable force of volunteers.
Our firefighters respond to about 350 calls for service throughout the year. These calls include motor vehicle accidents, emergency medical situations, structure fires, hazardous materials incidents, water rescues as well as other emergencies. We are always looking for new dedicated volunteers and we could use YOUR help.

There are also many ways to volunteer at Pomfret Fire for those not looking to become a firefighter. If you have valuable skills in equipment maintenance, grant writing, or just want to help keep the station or trucks looking great, please reach-out to us as well!
