Description
• Responds to 911 medical emergencies to provide basic life-saving skills.
• Perform patient assessment to determine nature of patient’s illness or injury. Based on assessment render appropriate emergency medical care.
• Maintains clinical skills and knowledge by attending continuing educational opportunities, skill workshops, studying publications, and participating in scheduled training.
• Maintains operations by following policies and procedures set by department.
• Educates citizens to prepare for and prevent medical emergencies by developing and conducting educational and training programs for the community.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing required tasks
• Maintains fire rescue station building, grounds, and related equipment by completing maintenance schedules.
• Provides information by completing required reports.
• Ensures proper and safe operation of equipment by completing preventive and scheduled maintenance.

Requirements
EMT Skills and Qualifications:
Lifting, Physical Fitness, Critical Thinking, Decision Making, Deals well with Uncertainty, Judgement, Dependability, Emotional Control, Integrity, Objectivity, Safety Minded

Must be 16 years of age, pass OSHA physical, and clear a background check.

Must be able to run one 12-hour shift a week, usually 6:00pm – 6:00am

All training will be provided, free of cost.
