Emergency Medical Technicians, or Emergency Medical Responders answer alarms and respond to the fire station or the incident scene. Respond to scenes of medical emergencies that include, but are not limited to: Cardiac Arrest, Respiratory Arrest, Shortness of Breath, Heart Attack, Stroke, Abdominal Pain, Trauma. Provide basic life support to patients until the arrival of an ambulance. Assist ambulance personnel with patient care.
