Beltsville Vol Fire Dept

4911 Prince Georges Avenue
Beltsville, MD 20705
301-883-7731

Description
Beltsville Volunteer Fire Department is actively recruiting EMS only members.

EMTs at Beltsville VFD staff our ambulance and provide emergency medical care to patients. EMTs are also responsible for maintaining and stocking EMS equipment as well as writing patient care reports.

No prior experience? No problem. Maryland EMT training is provided for free through the Maryland Fire and Rescue Institute. Graduates of the program gradate as a Nationally Registered EMT which is what many career fire departments look for when they are hiring.

Are you an EMT in another state but looking for a place to get more experience? Beltsville has to EMS units that respond to almost five thousand calls per year. Calls range from BLS emergencies such as sick people, to gunshot wounds, to vehicular trauma and anything in between. To acquire a Maryland State EMT card, you will simply need to take a 24 hour Maryland EMT refresher course and take the Maryland BLS protocol test at the end of the course. From there, you will enter our in-station probationary EMT training that will familiarize you with our SOP's.

We have a solid group of EMS members that are willing to help new EMTs train and learn the trade.

Live-in positions are also available.
