Description
Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT's) respond to emergency calls to provide efficient and immediate care to the critically ill and injured until the patient can be transported to a medical facility.

Requirements
Is 16 years of age or older
Has successfully completed an EMS provider educational course for EMTs (~144 hours of training)
Has a current certificate evidencing successful completion of a CPR course acceptable to the Department of Health
Has passed a written examination for EMT certification prescribed by the Department of Health
Has passed a practical test of EMT skills for EMT certification prescribed by the Department of Health
