As QRS calls must be handled expeditiously, we rely on the swift response of certified responders. You must be certified by the state of PA as a Emergency Medical Responder or higher certification. We also require you to maintain CPR training that is no more than two years old.

We train most Monday evenings starting at 6:30 PM. As each response is unique, there are opportunities for volunteers of all skill levels and abilities to assist. We will work within your limitations to maximize your time investment in the community. In return, we ask you commit to attending a majority of the scheduled weekly training nights and endeavor to assist with any special requests. Not only does your commit assist the department in completing its mission, but we will be able to help you develop familiarity with our equipment and the relative skill level of non-certified responders who may respond on an incident to assist certified responders.
