Some members do not have the time or ability for various reasons to perform front line emergency work at short notice. However, they may have special skills or just a willingness to help that are still very valuable to the department.

Auxiliaries members do not respond to the front lines of emergency scenes directly. These members typically do more of the 'behind the scenes' roles in the department. These include, but are not limited to:
Office/clerical
Station maintenance
Equipment maintenance
Special Events (parades, public events, etc)

In certain circumstances, such as larger than normal fire scenes, they may be asked to bring fuel, food, water, or other items to a scene if they are available and willing to do such a role.

If you have a skill and/or a desire to help, we will use your talents if we can or train you to do other support roles.
