Seated in the valley by Mt. Rainier and in the distance Mt. St. Helens is our rural fire department. Currently we have under 20 volunteers. Our average age is 50ish and it is time for the young blood to fill our shoes. We need fire fighters, EMT's, AEMT's, drivers and support people (association members who help with water/food on fires). Chief and secretary position are only paid positions. Reimbursement checks once a year based on a point system. Training is paid by the department for both EMS and Fire. We house two ambulances, two engines, two tenders, two brush vehicles. We have three stations and are located against Forest Service boundaries and serve the White Pass Ski area. We are very community oriented.
