Description
The Aristes Fire Company is a small town all volunteer fire company. We are looking for members who can provide us assistance in one of more of our programs and missions. We offer opportunities for interested participants in everything from fund raising to EMS to firefighting. Currently we are completely self funded creating our own operating funding through our fund raising efforts which include ticket sales, raffles, bingo, monthly breakfasts, dinners and many other events. If you are interested in helping to clean dishes, floors, the grounds, cook for both small and large events, serve food, run for supplies for this side of the company we can use you. In the same manner we can use people who are able and interested to help us provide community education. Currently our efforts include social media, presentations, hand outs and more to educate the public about who we are and what we do and how to stay fire safe. We also can use assistance with responding to calls. Our department responds and provides services that include structural fire response, wild (brush/forest) fire suppression, hazardous materials, vehicle rescue, rope and high angle rescue and EMS responses through our Quick Response Service (QRS) licensure. While our department is not the busiest one in the world the call volume is ever increasing and the types of responses are always varied.

Volunteer Category: Firefighter, EMT, Fundraising, Community Education, Department Support

Requirements
The requirements for the company are to fill out an application and then submit it to the company along with a criminal background check and Child Abuse clearances. This gets you in as a member and gives you the ability to assist with non-call taking events like fund raising and public education. In house training along with state certified training can prepare you to start responding to emergencies with us. The further you take the training and more time you commit to the education the more you can assist on responses for fire/rescue/EMS.
